Journey Inn, an Eco Retreat is a luxury Bed & Breakfast tucked away on 33 acres just 3 miles from Lake Pepin. We offer four well-appointed guest rooms in our B&B where our guests enjoy a full three course breakfast each morning and we also have the Cottage which is a two-bed two-bath separate dwelling. As a wood burner I create intricate hand-burned designs on wood, using grain, texture and sometimes color to enhance the storytelling and visual impact of my work. Each piece is meticulously crafted by me by hand. I can now also print out wood replicas with my laser CNC to bring down the price point. I largely focus on ancient geometry and symbology merged with Mandala theory in my work. I love the simple as well as the intricate. Not only are they visually striking but also tactile and timeless. I try to incorporate sustainable and reclaimed wood to celebrate the beauty of natural imperfections while being as eco-conscious to my art-making as I can. I also do commissioned pieces for clients who want a piece that is a little more personal. Over a coffee or a call we can create something breathtaking for your home together.

I will have examples of pieces in different stages of progress as well as my wood burner on site. I will do a demo in the early afternoon on Saturday.
