I started sculpting with clay approximately 35-years ago, initially studying for 20-years under Peter Lupori [b.1918-d.2014] followed by 15-years with instructor Elizabeth Coleman. My preferred clay body is domestic porcelain and much of my hand-building work is unglazed, taking on an aged and exposed stone-like property, aesthetically best depicted as rustic wabi-sabi.
