Thoughtfully sourced artisan-made textiles & home goods from around the globe. We represent primarily women artisans from the developing world. Our passion is to discover disenfranchised artisans whose handwork merits a wider audience. In addition to purchasing their work outright, we teach, collaborate and mentor so the artisans are better prepared for the challenges of the marketplace, earn a fair wage with ripple effects extending to their families and in to their communities as role models for social change. We work with artisans from around the world who weave, quilt, embroider, stitch, knot, hook, bead, print and dye handmade home goods and accessories. We love the pieces that you can actually use every day that remind you of the talent, patience and skill of women everywhere.
DEMONSTRATION
We are featuring the stunning work of the Tz'utujil Maya of Guatemala. We are specifically highlighting embroiderers like Maria Mendoza and Jose Sicay Tzina, who make the most beautiful bird embroideries. We have worked with them for decades, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that are functional while making their work the focal point. Take a closer look at our Handwoven and Embroidered Travel Satchel, our Handwoven and Embroidered Bird Pillows, our Embroidered Bird Cloths and more! You can only find these unique pieces in our store.
